We live in a now that contains all potential and all possibilities. This moment is truly all we have in which to act, experience, and grow. As we dip a tentative toe into the river of time, we know that the spot we touch is the only place we have in which to bring our being into actuality, for the rushing water comes from a past that is up river and flows to a future that is far downstream. Here and now, we should strive to allow our passions to burn with an intensity that compels us to seize each moment of now and, in doing so, to bring our full awareness to acting to fulfill the promise of our best self within the All. As we reach into our deepest well of faith and hope, let each strive to increase the love energy that sustains and blesses. Namaste! https://www.tobiehewitt.com/contact.html to join my mailing list. Our connection to loved ones who have traveled to the other side of the veil never ceases. We may not hear from them daily, but perhaps we did not do so when they were on the physical plane. To expect constant communication after a loved one has passed is as misguided as expecting that level of communication on this plane. Sometimes people get busy with their lives on both sides of the veil, and we should not take the lack of communication as a sign that they do not exist. Just as we have daily tasks that need to be accomplished, those who exist in the spirit realm have responsibilities. Although they are discarnate, their lives continue, rich and full of experiences. We must always remember we are bound together in the energy of love that expands through time and space. Namaste! https://www.tobiehewitt.com/contact.html to join my mailing list. Many times, these signs repeat until we acknowledge that they are not “coincidences.” Sometimes, we are able to discern our loved one in spirit shortly after his or her passing. They appear to us either when we are awake and in a relaxed state of mind or in dream. We may not even be aware that the person has left their physical body and we are surprised to note that they look well and vibrant. Sometimes there are other signs: an object keeps presenting itself in a slightly unusual and repetitive way, like a yellow rose appearing in one form or another on shared days of importance, for example a birthday or anniversary. We must remain vigilant and open minded in order to experience communication from the other side of the veil. Namaste! https://www.tobiehewitt.com/contact.html to join my mailing list. We start by examining what we know and who we have been and done and we become aware of that which our spirit still needs to learn to fulfill our purpose within the interdependent web. This between time can be daunting and sometimes disorienting as we leave the comfort of the familiarity of the spirit plane and wait for our return to the physical realm, which now appears before us as the unknown. Even though we have been incarnate before, we seem to forget that reality, just as when we are on the physical plane, we tend to forget that there is another home that is ours. With the help of guides and teachers on both sides of the veil, our transition between states of being becomes a celebration of reuniting with loved ones. In this community, we express this solidarity and individuality through ritual and celebration and, in many instances, these acts have coalesced into an expression named as a distinctive religion. While it is good to come together to celebrate the Creative Spirit and our place in the interdependent web, to believe in the supremacy of one religion over another, or to coerce others to join our way of thinking and believe our celebrations are the only ones that truly commune with a higher being, is to denigrate and disregard the diversity that exists within the Universe. When we come together in celebration, our spirits join in the blissful light of the energy of love. Namaste! https://www.tobiehewitt.com/contact.html to join my mailing list. (Art by Joy Argento; https://www.redbubble.com/shop/artbyjoy) Religion and spirituality are not, unfortunately, the same thing. Often, religion tends to see the world in a series of segregated entities. When religion names itself, it creates its unique rules and beliefs to the exclusion of the realm of the spirit that accepts all in a state of love across the interdependent web. Religion says what is right and what is wrong and that only it knows the difference. There is sin, and guilt, and penance. Spirituality sings that we are all the same in the light of the Creative Spirit and the only “sin” is not joining in the dance across the cosmic rainbow. Spirituality says we are all spirit and we are all free to share in the experience and knowledge that we are created and sustained in love. How can we communicate with a loved one who exists now on the other side of the veil? We simply speak and then listen with the ears of the heart. The voice that is not our voice and the words that are not our words will enter into our minds through the spirit that we are, making the communication unmistakable. If we create a dialogue over time, we will begin to understand that their desire to speak with us is as great as ours to speak with them. To track this ongoing dialogue, you can keep a spirit communication journal. Write down your questions and thoughts and then listen. Write down what you hear, what you sense, even faintly. Over time you will begin to see that there is, indeed, a conversation occurring. Speaking with spirit is an act of love and it is through the love energy that we continue our relationships with our loved ones until we are together again on the same side of the veil. When we approach each other in a state of love, the miracles of compassion and kindness take wing and the web of existence trembles in excited bliss knowing that the universe is being enriched by the vibration that sustains all things. Our existence as spirit, either incarnate or discarnate, is informed by the love energy that flows between and around us, holding us within a powerful and gentle matrix. In every dimension, in every plane, in all time and all space, the here and now is imbued with this most high love that blossoms in heart, mind, and spirit. When we allow our hearts to fill and swell with a sense of compassion and empathy for the All, we are living as our highest self within the Creative Spirit. We believe our lives are proceeding linearly, fearing any change in the status quo, coveting a routine that keeps us safe from facing the unknown at any moment. The illusion of stability allows us to function day to day. Yet, in an instant, everything we know can change. We can be confronted with accidental or natural occurrences that shift our personal paradigm, requiring us to find an inner source in order to meet the challenge of acting seemingly without a net. It is then that we need to awaken our awareness of our true spirit nature and allow ourselves to reach out toward other spirits, seeking help to regain our footing. Faced with sudden change, we can lean on the totality of the interdependent web that sustains us through compassion and love. Although their minds and bodies seem to lack the health of the rest of the population, they have chosen to take upon themselves during this incarnation challenges not only so they could learn from these, but also to serve as reminders of the mental and physical limitations we all face to one degree or another. Their spirits reach toward ours asking not for pity, but rather that we learn from them the grace of living with a loving and open heart. We must always remember that while they appear to be different, they are in actuality imbued with their own spirit, which is the same as ours. In spirit, we are whole and one within the Creative Spirit, living in harmony and love. Namaste! https://www.tobiehewitt.com/contact.html to join my mailing list.
