When we stop and sit and do nothing and think nothing, we are growing the most. In meditation, we allow the monkey mind to play all it wants while we simply sit, aware of its antics, but without judgment, concern, or worry. In meditation, in whatever form we choose, we access the self that knows it has the potential to become a buddha, an awakened one. The Buddha said, “Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.” When we follow his advice, we come to awareness of the illusion of anything that is not of this moment. We cannot change that which is in the apparent past, nor can we control what is to come in the illusion of future. We can only give ourselves completely and confidently to now. Without judgment, we accept with no mind all potential. In allowing ourselves to sit in this moment, we become one with the All within the Interdependent Web.
