In the stillness of the morning, when the earth where you are balances between night’s darkness and day’s light, step outside, stand soft yet strong, and raise your arms and your face to the dawning sun in welcome and gratitude. As the first rays of the day begin to wash over your face, feel yourself being bathed in the light of the Creative Spirit and know that this light is awakening upon every creature, animate and inanimate, incarnate and discarnate, bonding the All into One. Take a deep full breath and be aware of yourself in the light as it connects you to everything else within the interdependent web that expands throughout the universe. Know and accept the energy of love that flows toward you, through you, and from you. Namaste! https://www.tobiehewitt.com/contact.html to join my mailing list. (Art by Joy Argento)

When we are incarnate, it seems that often the same force that confines our spirit in the physical also has the potential to confine our thoughts and actions in that which is commonly referred to as “the box.” When we decide that society’s norm must be our own in order to conform and thus be accepted, we often find ourselves shelving our dreams, ideas, aspirations, and creative voice in favor of “fitting in.” Actually, we thus are fitting into (or cramming ourselves into) a box that confines our spirit, which is, after all, here to enjoy the widest experience possible by exploring that area outside of this confining box. Thus do we discover and determine our spirit’s intended path. When we begin to “think outside of the box,” we set our spirit free to discern its true path in the interdependent web. (Art by Joy Argento) When we talk of spirits, we often envision ethereal beings wafting through our environment on their way to lofty enterprises and experiences. In truth, spirits exist no differently than we do with the one exception that they no longer have physical form. This does not mean they have no form. Theirs is simply vibrating at a higher rate and thus they become, primarily, invisible to our physical eyes, just like there are colors and sounds that vibrate at frequencies too high (or low) for us to see and hear. When we see and hear through the heart, though, spirits become readily apparent. Namaste! https://www.tobiehewitt.com/contact.html to join my mailing list. (Art by Joy Argento) There is something wonderfully magical about June. As the sun reaches its zenith in the northern hemisphere, the world seems to sparkle with a vibrancy that emanates from the potential of spring actualizing into the lush and verdant forms of summer. All things are imbued with a bright light of growth and if we take a good look at ourselves, we find that we, too, have a potential to grow in the light of the sun. As we bask in the sun’s rays (safely, of course), we absorb the light that has traveled through space. This light is not only that which we see with our physical eyes, but is layered within the light that emanates from the Creative Source, a light which we see with the eyes of our heart. The light of summer reminds us of the spiritual light that fills us with the creative energy of love. Namaste! https://www.tobiehewitt.com/contact.html to join my mailing list. (Art by Joy Argento) Love is not simply an emotion. It is an energy that has the potential to heal, to create, and to transform. With this energy, all things are possible and all manner of transformation is possible. Love does not judge nor does it discriminate by action or deed. When we utilize the energy of love in our lives, we are living in a manner that allows us to reach our fullest potential. It is said that in the beginning there was the word and the word was good. The first word that was uttered by the Creative Spirit in the act of creation was “love,” because it was this word that brought the All into being. It was the utterance of that one word that breathed everything into existence. We are formed in and by the energy of love, which sustains and informs our lives on whatever plane of existence we find ourselves. This energy can neither be created nor destroyed, but rather has existed forever and will exist forever. The energy, however, has the ability to move from one form to another. A seed in the earth fills with the energy of potential, pushes its way through the soil, grows, blooms via the energy of actualization, and then begins to release this energy as it reaches its fullness. The energy then becomes available to another form to pursue its own actualization. The energy that activated the flower then becomes available to a tree, or a cat, or us. The energy is the same, the form changes. We are all informed and sustained, in potential or actualized form, via this energy, which is the energy of love. (Art by Joy Argento) Within the All, whether incarnate or discarnate, we know each other, even if we lack this awareness on the conscious level. Everyone who walks into our lives is someone we already know. Sometimes this knowledge at the time of meeting again for the first time slips beyond the radar of recognition. We say hello and remain unaware that there is already a connection that may go back over many incarnations and on many planes of existence. Other times, meeting someone new seems like having an old friend suddenly appear again in our environment. The greeting is one of joy and elation. Our friend who we did not know we were missing is once again with us. Sometimes, when we suddenly feel a longing for an unnamed other, that other person is experiencing the same feeling. Through the interdependent web, we are led to meeting again via the ever-connected, ever-guiding energy of love. Namaste! https://www.tobiehewitt.com/contact.html to join my mailing list. (Art by Joy Argento) Why are we here as separate beings when we are, in fact, part of the One? Why do we take physical form and what is it about that form that imparts and reinforces our awareness of our part in the greater whole? We are here incarnate because our desire to return to the Creative Spirit raises in us a need to interact with each other as our spirits are impelled toward closeness. This need is met through the practice of compassion, empathy, and kindness. We find ourselves in community with others as we strive to regain the Oneness we innately sense but often cannot name. We recognize each other within the interdependent web by engaging in community via the energy of love. Namaste! https://www.tobiehewitt.com/contact.html to join my mailing list. (Art by Joy Argento) Centering ourselves within the Source means quieting our monkey minds and allowing ourselves to receive the sustaining and informing energy that allows us to pursue our own creative flow in a loving and dynamic manner. When we move our perception from our mind to our heart and allow ourselves to enter into harmony with the Creative Spirit, all things are possible, not only in our individual lives but also within the larger community of which we are an integral part. Allowing ourselves to become quiet and to let the energy of the universe fill us allows us in turn to use this energy in the modalities of compassion, empathy, and kindness. Becoming centered allows us to more fully engage with and utilize the energy of love in our lives. Namaste! https://www.tobiehewitt.com/contact.html to join my mailing list. (Art by Joy Argento Summer Solstice! Enjoy the day of long sunlight and breathe in the warm aromas of the garden and the heat of the earth. Go outside and try to feel yourself a part of the whole of nature. Look at a leaf, warm and full and realize that the leaf and you are made of the same basic materials that the Creative Spirit provides for physical expression. We are one with everything and an important aspect of the All. Sit quietly and feel the presence of the beings that share this illusion of space and time with you. Perhaps you will become aware of the fairy folk and devas of the garden. Maybe you will sense the nearness of loved ones in spirit who have come to enjoy this long summer day. Open your awareness further and perhaps you will see the shimmering golden light of the spirit realm that imbues each blade of grass and the very air around you. On this longest sunlit day of the year celebrate your magical oneness within the All. Namaste! https://www.tobiehewitt.com/contact.html to join my mailing list. (Art by Joy Argento) |
