A month of giving thanks comes to an end. We have examined the art of asking and receiving and giving in turn. We have learned that the others we recognize as partners in this incarnational phase of our spirit’s travels through the interdependent web are here, on both sides of the veil, to inform and sustain us. We have learned that there is a silence in which all questions may be asked and all answers received. And we have learned that it is in gratitude that we open the doors to a deeper understanding of our ability to give, and indeed give thanks! The growing silence can fill some with a sense of disquiet and dread. In the silence are the seeds of self-contemplation and discovery and, for some, this can be frightening and jarring. When we find ourselves mired in a routine that does not serve our life’s goals, we need to take that quiet moment and ask for help in determining how best to attain our spirit’s objectives in this lifetime. As we put forth the question, we can confidently know that there are those in spirit waiting to help us. When we open ourselves to the assistance from across the interdependent web, we can find peace in their guidance, and give thanks! When we place our questions into the realm that presents itself as silence, those in spirit—loved ones, guides, teachers, and masters—are able to consider the various scenarios that will ensue depending on which answer is given to any given problem. When we place ourselves in a situation of receiving the answer, and carefully consider following it, we are more likely to place our next steps firmly and assuredly on the correct path. When we sit in silence, we can hear the answers we seek, and give thanks! Namaste! https://www.tobiehewitt.com/contact.html to join my mailing list. Nature blooms and thrives, and then allows itself to experience the aspect of quiet and peace after the fullness of spring and summer. In the silence that nature creates as it awaits the time of rebirth, we can come to understand the way in which we, too, can stop our frenzied steps through life and slow our pace to allow for our own renaissance. When we accept change as an opportunity for growth, we embrace the natural progression of life, and give thanks! Namaste! https://www.tobiehewitt.com/contact.html to join my mailing list. As we move through life, we need to retain a feeling of awe and wonder while at the same time being able to discern that which we need to embrace in order to grow and thrive, and that which is not a part of our personal paradigm. When we learn to let go of that which no longer gives us joy, we experience the alchemy of grace, and give thanks! Namaste! https://www.tobiehewitt.com/contact.html to join my mailing list. In the physical, we are separated by membranes of flesh and ideas and dogmas that belong to this plane. When we open ourselves to the many planes that exist within and around us, we can see that the larger reality is imbued with much simpler ideas of grace than those we perceive as we remain mired on this physical plane. In spirit, there is not the idea of hate, nor the need for atonement for that which on the physical plane may be considered transgressions. As we move through the physical world, it is important to remember that the more we live in light and love, the more light and love we receive. Let light and love fill you through each day, that that may sustain you and flow from you to the All, and give thanks! Namaste! https://www.tobiehewitt.com/contact.html to join my mailing list. In compassion, we are aware of the needs of another. In empathy we feel this need as our own. In kindness we try to ease another’s burden. In love, we nurture the bond that connects each to the All. When we live to serve others, we discover the flow throughout the interdependent web of sustaining grace, and give thanks! Namaste! https://www.tobiehewitt.com/contact.html to join my mailing list. (Art by Joy Argento) Loss is a part of life. When we lose something or someone, we suffer the pain of the awareness of separation, but at the same time we open a place in which the new can enter and reside for whatever time as may be necessary to learn from this new being or thing. What we see as sorrow is the preparation of the spirit to open us to joy. When we release that which no longer serves to fulfill us, we open ourselves to the potential of growth and renewal, and give thanks! Then, we need to know that while we are eternal, the physical is not and shouldn’t be thought of as our primary home. What we experience here is but a series of lessons, a long day at school filled with myriad actions and reactions that inform our spirit as it traverses this plane. When we are at the end of this journey and move home to the realm of spirit, we can see clearly that all the joys and sorrows have served to move us along the path to awareness of self within the All. When we accept that the physical is transient and the spiritual is eternal, we can accept with grace each step, and give thanks. (Art by Joy Argento) The energies that surround us can bring us peace and calm or serve to agitate and distract us from our path. When we find ourselves trembling with an energy that is not our own and which causes us distress and discomfort, we need to take a deep cleansing breath and allow those negative vibrations to flow away from us without impacting our being. In times of high stress, when we are unable to focus on staying in the moment of peace, we can light a candle and allow its flame to remind us of the flame that exists inside of us. When we remember we are a light that is a part of the All, we can remain centered, and give thanks. Namaste! |
