When we forget that we are part of something greater than our own immediate physical being, nature, which exists as part of the interdependent web as much as we do, reminds us that there are forces and circumstances over which we have no control except in our reactions to their physical manifestation. While we may look at each other with distrust and worry that those who are superficially not like us will wreak havoc on us, nature is able to gather its energies and create circumstances that demand our attention to it and its power. Thus are we often reminded that we are part of a greater reality. When we manifest respect and compassion toward each other and our environment, we experience the oneness of the All.
