Socrates said, “The unexamined life is not worth living,” and we have now reached that time of year when we stop our mad rush around the planet and contemplate our place on it and consider ways in which we can attain a new awareness of self within the larger community. Just as we have spent time recently discovering the myriad manifestation of light within and around us, so now we are compelled to discover how we may utilize this light for our own growth and for the best purposes of those around us.
