December 3: A “Rebirth of Wonder”

The poet Lawrence Ferlinghetti writes of anticipating a “rebirth of wonder.” As the darkness grows around us, we can throw off the cloak of fear and embrace the idea of anticipating such a rebirth in our lives and in the world. As we sit, candles glowing, their flames’ light reaching into the surrounding darkness, we can open the eyes of our heart to the potential for a new world being born out of the darkness and bursting forth soon, so soon, into the light.
