December 5: The Light of the Creative Spirit

The word “renaissance” is defined as meaning “rebirth” or “renewal.” The implication is that it follows a time of darkness. In the world today, there are many instances of darkness, characterized by ignorance and intolerance, twin negatives that germinate in the shadows of dogma and distrust. When we allow the light of the Creative Spirit to shine into the recesses in which these loathsome mindsets exist, we nurture the rebirth of acceptance of that which is based in the energy of love. As we move toward the darkest times of the year, we should strive to open our hearts to prepare for the rebirth that is ours to claim as our own.
