Physical life is a series of transitions in form, a continual transformation from the time one’s spirit enters the body until it leaves. Your skin cells, for example, are continually being born and dying, replaced by new cells each time. We do not mourn the death of our skin cells on a daily basis, but instead buy all sorts of products to slough off the dead cells so that newer cells can come to the surface. That which is physical is unable to maintain continuity of form. The energy that creates the body changes form, but not existence. A rock can be worn away from erosion, its atoms dispersing but not destroyed. The physical body is no different. Yet, underneath, the spirit remains, cognizant of its eternal existence, knowing it can grow, but never die. The energy that is of the spirit is bound to an eternal interconnected web that is sustained by the ever growing energy of love.
