Change, when it is sudden, like lightning on a calm day, can alter our sense of reality. Because it is that sense that sustains our day-to-day life, we shudder with fear and trepidation at what the future may hold for us. Will our lives continue in any manner that we can recognize? We can feel alone, questioning our very existence. In such a situation our path can shift dramatically, rocking us out of our complacent illusion of security and providing us with the opportunity to become more than we have been, shifting our paradigm and forcing us to inspect our lives from a new perspective. Sudden change can be frightening, surely, but knowing that we are sustained within the interdependent web serves to keep us strong as we meet a new future within the sustaining energy of love and hope.
