As we watch tree leaves unfurl in green splendor, we are reminded that trees are masters of patience. They do not rush the process and progress of their lives. They wait, arms spread toward the sky, in sunlight and in moonlight, in rain and in snow, growing in summer and waiting in the cold days of winter. They wait, knowing that everything is unfolding in its time as created and ordained by the Creative Spirit. We can learn much from trees. In standing solidly and serenely in our physical space, we can allow our mental, spiritual, and emotional selves to unfurl in good time and in a measured manner, allowing us the potential for optimal growth in this incarnation. We can learn that practicing patience allows us to savor each moment of our lives with peaceful awareness, secure that we are standing solidly within the interdependent web.
