October 16: The Pursuit of Knowledge

At once, we are both students and masters. The student within each of us yearns for answers that have existed since we first manifested in physical form. Acknowledging that there is a finitude to our physical form compels us to ask why we are here at all, what the purpose is of this brief experience on this plane. When we see or experience suffering, for example, the student asks why such trials exist. The master within each of us knows that this world continues to be an illusion in which we exist for the educating of our spirit.
