“We are such stuff as dreams are made on” (Shakespeare). The validity of dreams is often overlooked or dismissed. We don’t actually know which parts of our lives are built on dreams and which are part of some other expression of reality. We assume when we are asleep that the dreams we encounter are a bit of brain activity related to memories of the day or some fantasy to entertain. When we are awake, we believe we are experiencing a reality more solid than that we encounter in sleep. In truth, we cannot know which is the dream and which is “reality,” whether we are indeed dreaming when we are actually experiencing what we agree upon as reality. It does not matter. When we become aware of the shifting borders of dream, we begin to realize our essential reality exists in the realm of miracles.
