When we are in school, we believe that what we are learning is the truth. In all subjects we are taught certain ideas and theories that those in the education community have agreed to present in classes and to administer tests to make certain that all students have learned the same concepts. Even when some of these “facts” are later proven incorrect, they linger in the world consciousness as reflections of truth. And, of course, there are ideas that are taught that promote one set of beliefs over another, with no regard to the underlying reality that informs them. There is a teacher we can always rely upon and that is the still inner voice, which knows all truth within the illusion of time and space. When we sit quietly and listen in peace, we can hear the voice of the universal spirit flowing within the ears of the heart. The knowledge we need is always provided through the melding light of the energy of love. Namaste! https://www.tobiehewitt.com/contact.html to join my mailing list. In the darkest hours of our lives, when we believe we are alone and that no one can possibly know our innermost being, then we need to fall silent and listen to the still small voice within that reminds us that we are part of a larger reality. In this reality are not only the spirits of those around us who are also experiencing the physical plane, but also the spirits of loved ones who have passed, guides who have protected us through lifetimes, teachers, masters, angels, and other beings, all ready to hear our cries for help, solace, and comfort and come to our aid. We need but reach out, even with the slightest thought of need, and compassion and comfort will flow toward us through the energy of love. We live blind to the shining light that we are and instead believe that the darkness we feel is our only reality. We ignore the light of others and, in doing so, we lose our connection to the larger family that is the All. We believe we are not of the light and that others are not of the light and so we are brought to a state of confusion knowing that the darkness is not our home and yet unaware of how to open the window of our heart to allow the light to become our totality. When we sit in stillness, we can feel our light emanating within our core. Then we can find comfort in the light of the Creative Spirit that embraces us and holds us within the interdependent web. Those consumed by their own feelings of superiority and self-righteousness are not hearing from the Creative Spirit, by whatever name they call that being, but rather from their own ego, which has disconnected from its informing spirit. It is willful ignorance that feeds hate and disregard for the welfare of others because of the self involvement with their own beliefs and messages. Those who engage in “religious” activities that are informed by hate, distrust, superiority, enmity, and which culminate in acts of violence, often do not recognize that those they are vehemently and venomously judging and attacking can best be recognized by looking in a mirror. All paths that travel informed by spirit and the energy of love lead to the same all encompassing transcendental being. Namaste! https://www.tobiehewitt.com/contact.html to join my mailing list. Without any need for interpretation or guidance by any other physical entity, our spirits know our unity within the interdependent web. Spirit, on both sides of the veil, know that we are part of the Creative Spirit as much as we are an emanation of that same being. This knowledge allows spirit to recognize its oneness within the All. At the same time, our conscious minds, for the most part, forget this knowledge as we follow our path in the physical plane. This is so in order to learn lessons that would otherwise be hidden from us because our knowing spirit would inform us of our divine origin. In the realm of spirit, we know we are one, connected through the energy of love. Namaste!https://www.tobiehewitt.com/contact.html to join my mailing list. (Art by Joy Argento; https://www.redbubble.com/shop/artbyjoy) Within each of us is a spark that remains a part of the Creative Spirit, which is the being that manifested everything in our universe in and through the energy of love. Religion is humankind’s method of explaining what seems inexplicable, and each religion adds to the mythos that allows the conscious mind, in some manner, to understand the spiritual reality that is held within them. The difficulties arise when one religion believes its story is superior to another or that its interpretation is the only viable one. If we listen carefully to that still small voice that rests inside that inner spark, we will begin to know our true selves. The Creative Spirit, of which we are a part, knows itself simply to be that from which emanates the energy of love. Namaste! https://www.tobiehewitt.com/contact.html to join my mailing list. (Art by Joy Argento; https://www.redbubble.com/shop/artbyjoy) While acts of kindness and love raise the vibration of not only the giver but also of the recipient, acts of hate lower these vibrations and foster separation and dis-ease. Hate feeds the darkness that small segments of humankind have employed to try to foster fear and, through this fear, control of negative energy in order to gain power and control over those who are not willing or able to understand the oneness of the universe. Perpetrating hate and performing acts of hate can have the effect of encouraging a cycle of hostility that spirals downward into larger arenas of the world, often sparking violence and distrust that can last for generations. To break the cycle of hate, we need to increase our dedication to living in the light of the energy of love and to manifesting peace. When we get a green light and pass through an intersection, we should give thanks for the ability to smoothly continue our journey. When we get a red light and stop, we should give thanks for the moment of rest and acknowledge that the red light, as well as the green light, serves to place us where we are meant to be in that moment. In movement or in stillness, if we maintain an attitude of gratitude, aware that our steps are guided by a benevolent force, we can peacefully accept any illusion of inconvenience that may come along. Gratitude keeps us in balance within a state of grace in the interdependent web. Namaste! https://www.tobiehewitt.com/contact.html to join my mailing list. Know without thinking that you are of the same substance as everything around you. Look up into the night sky and see the wealth of stars and planets and galaxies spreading out across the universe and know you are on a planet that is taking part in the cosmic dance. Know that you are one with the most distant star and with the closest grain of sand. Know that your spirit is of the same substance as all the spirits around you, on both sides of the veil and on all planes of being. Embrace your oneness with everything in the universe, seen and unseen, all vibrating at the speed of love. Namaste! https://www.tobiehewitt.com/contact.html to join my mailing list. The tree continues to grow, through the challenges of each season, knowing when to rest and when to bloom. It does not stand in a serious stance, believing that each ray of sun or flake of snow is a sign of either a boon or doom. The tree is, it exists, lifting its arms to the sun and shaking its branches in the breeze, leaves rustling in soft joyful laughter. The tree knows it is experiencing a physical existence in order to bask in the joy of being. Stop being so serious! Be like a tree and laugh in the sun. If you do not know how, go and wrap your arms around the nearest tree and listen. Press your ear close and hear the music of the spheres joyfully intoning a melody that meets your own in peaceful and loving harmonies within the interdependent web.
