Tracing the path of fireflies is an enjoyable undertaking on a hot July night. We see the light flash in the darkness. Our eyes move to the next spot in anticipation of the light shining once again. Sometimes the path is predictable and we are rewarded by sensing where the light will shine and having it do so. Other times, we wait, watching expectantly at the spot in the darkness, waiting for the light, only to see the light has moved, the firefly has taken a path that zigged or zagged from its linear course. The firefly follows its own serendipitous path, allowing its light to shine at every point along the way. Practice being like a firefly; no matter how the course of your path changes, let your light shine! Namaste! https://www.tobiehewitt.com/contact.html to join my mailing list. (Art by Joy Argento)

Talking with spirit is no big deal. Listening, however, requires attention and focus. When we ask a spirit for help or guidance, or send love to them, we simply do so in whatever manner is most natural for us—speaking aloud or silently or through ritual or through writing. But, when we ask for that help or guidance, we need to listen carefully and watch for signs that contain the answers to our inquiries. It is not true that spirits do not communicate with us; they do so all the time. We, on the other hand, because of what we have been taught, shut out their messages, as though we have put a block on them on social media. When we keep ourselves open and listen with our hearts, we can receive the answers we seek. Namaste! https://www.tobiehewitt.com/contact.html to join my mailing list. Being frazzled by events around us serves nothing and detracts from our purpose, even if we do not remember or know what that is. When we sit and breathe with awareness, if even for a minute, we can bring our selves back to that quiet place from which all of our creative and loving energy flows within and outside of our physical shell. When we connect with our spirit and know that oneness, we become one within the All. Namaste! https://www.tobiehewitt.com/contact.html to join my mailing list. Leaves unfurl in the spring and turn to bright colors in the autumn before they fall to blanket the ground. Birds of many hues sing songs that herald morning and heal the hearts of those who hear their melodies. Water flows from streams to rivers to oceans, sparkling like liquid diamonds in the sunlight. The smallest creature and the largest come to life to add its measure to the environment in which it finds itself. And, each of us comes to this plane to live, create, learn, and love. The Earth is, indeed, a magical place, and we are an integral aspect of that magic. Namaste! https://www.tobiehewitt.com/contact.html to join my mailing list. (Art by Joy Argento) Life and death are illusions; the spirit remains whole and vibrant no matter the plane of existence in which it finds itself. You are you and your loved ones on the other side of the veil remain who they are. Yes . . . you evolve and grow because of the knowledge you gain through each incarnation, but the essential spirit you are remains the same. When you are on the non-physical planes, the modes of communication between spirits increase, but your ability to communicate with incarnate spirits is curtailed depending on the receptivity of that spirit. The energy that exists within the heart is spiritual; when you speak from the heart, the energy of love allows you to also hear clearly with the heart. To shut ourselves off from friends and family members who do not happen at this moment to have physical form is like not speaking to those loved ones who have moved to a different part of town or a different city altogether. They haven’t ceased to exist. We may simply need to use different modes of communication to interact with them. When we use our hearts to reach out to loved ones in spirit, we open ourselves to sustaining our relationships through the energy of love. On other planes our spirits are linked more closely in the interdependent web. On this plane, because of the apparent separateness of our physical beings, we must overcome this dividing form and strive to act as spirits despite our physical limitations. When we reach toward each other and manifest our Oneness through the energy of love, we can begin to realize the cohesiveness of our true selves. In truth, our essential spirit exists as part of the One and as such we are intrinsic aspects of the universe. Without each of us, living as expressions of the vision of the Creative Spirit, the universe would not exist as it is for each of us is a unique facet of the whole, bringing our own awareness and vision to that of the All. Each of us is called upon to engage in this journey, sustained through the energy of love within the interdependent web. Namaste! https://www.tobiehewitt.com/contact.html to join my mailing list. (Art by Joy Argento) We live together in this dimension, this expression of the illusion of time and space. The Creative Spirit continues its plan for the evolving universe through our interactions with each other and our personal discoveries about the world around us. We were not meant to live in isolation, but instead, to venture into the world where we can share and learn together. It is good to be independent from tyranny and suppression, but it is also good to see ourselves as dependent on each other so that we can grow together as the incarnate family that we are. When we work together for the common good, we actualize the vision of the Creative Spirit. Namaste! https://www.tobiehewitt.com/contact.html to join my mailing list. While change can be daunting and sometimes frightening, all change impels us to a deeper appreciation for who we are and the paths we are on. Without change, we could become stagnant automatons, performing the same tasks and adhering to the same beliefs day after day for each day of our lives. In truth, we are here to experience a diversity of actions, sensations, and outcomes. In change there is a natural balance of being that is always sustained and informed by the energy of love.
